'Till I Die' track review

By Stephanie Middleton,
Chris Brown's new single

Chris Brown, Wiz Khalifa and Big Sean make one great team. Each voice brings a new timbre to the track, making it a little bit more than just a normal radio rap song. “Till I Die” is a hip-hop success, clever lyrics, smooth beat and a chorus of Chris Brown singing a quick phrase over and over.

Although this particular song gets borderline racy at some points, the humor in the well crafted verses undermines the stereotypical usage of foul language.

Big Sean’s verse takes the cake as he creates the best beat and the easiest verse to follow rhythmically. However, each verse perfectly fits the mold of each rapper’s style.

If you’re going to listen to the song, it is crucial to watch the video as well. The entire video is a giant hallucination. Big Sean imagines small creatures on his shoulders while Wiz Khalifa rocks a set of dragonfly wings. Snoop even makes a cameo, rolling up in a hot car with a handful of attractive girls listening to “Till I Die.”

The music perfectly matches the idea that this is one drug trip not worth missing, with trippy guitar and synth in the background.
