Celebration: Life, Love, Music

By Camille Hansen,
Celebration

The Celebration: Life, Love, Music album is jam packed with the very talented Tony Monaco’s organ music. This album is jam packed with some 24 of Monaco’s best songs spanning his career. Each lyric is filled with some of the best Jazz non-vocal lyrics around with a style that gives you a buzz, while keeping a soulful beat. This new album is Monaco’s first recording in six years.

"Daddy Oh," the first track in Celebration: Life, Love, Music, reflects this soulful jazz with an upbeat vibe that gives you a trip back in time. This song brings the feel of the roaring twenties to life, with a side of romantic undertones and mystery. It could be easily used in the backdrop of a private eye flick or a beatnik café scene. The vibrant drums and bold horn sprinkled throughout the song add an expressive flavor to this poignant ballad.

Monaco and team utilized a classic Hammond B3 organ to spice up these classical lyrics. His mastery of the Hammond B3 organ began when he was 8 and he has continued to produce spectacular jazz music to this day. This unique album resonates all that is wonderful about jazz and Hammond B3 organ music.
