My two kiddies are truly enjoying their new VW Camper Van Tent by the Monster Factory. It's a new, licensed T1 VM Camper, perfect for indoor or outdoor play. It's literally an officially licensed replica of the 1965 Split Screen VW Camper (without the motor...thankfully). It comes creatively packaged in an easy to re-store VW Wheel bag.
The tent is brought to us by Monster Factory, a company established in 1998 by Martin Grix. Monster Factory sells greeting cards, gifts and as of late, has become an outdoor and camping company.
The VW Camper tent accommodates up to three children and is appropriate for ages 3 and up. Dimensions once set up are 54 cm wide, 165 cm long and 77 cm high. The tent is also UV protected (great for outdoors), fire retardant (a sigh of relief for all parents) and waterproof (in my opinion a plus for indoors and out, hahahaha). Setup is super-duper easy. It literally comes out of the wheel bag and pops right up; no pegs or confusing page upon page of directions. You are within two minutes of setup and play!
To set up your VW Camper Tent, simply pull the tent out of the zippered bag, place the plastic supports into the top, front and back frame and you are all set to go. The tent is completely sturdy and held up to my kids testing it over and over (they must have so far gone in and out of it 100 times and it's still standing perfect)! The zippered entrance makes it easy for them to go in and out as they please without knocking it over.
To close and pack up your VW Camper Tent (easiest with two adults each holding one end of the flattened camper), hold both ends, fold together flat into a circle and voila, it is ready for the storage bag. Monster Factory also provides handy YouTube videos right on their website (see one embedded below) with tips for setup, take-down and storage.
This tent is completely portable, trendy and easily packable for any family trip. It's a wonderful addition to the rainy "what are we going to do Mom" day, or a beautifully sunny afternoon out on the front or back lawn. In my opinion, it's truly a great holiday gift idea at a reasonable price.
