Singer Jamie Lynn Spears, also known as the younger sister of Britney Spears, released her EP The Journey and has shown a sound that is all her own. In a style of music separate from her sister’s pop sound, Spears brings a blast of country to her music.

With the inescapable sound of unmistakable country, Spears’ soft vocals showcase her southern roots as she sings songs of love and going out in the world. Spears has been an entertainer for years and with her newest album, she is bringing her passion for making music to her fans.

Included on the album is “How Could I Want More,” which was her debut into the music world and it encompasses lyrics that are personal for Spears. According to her website, Spears chose this song because she wanted to continue her honest relationship with her fans.

With some country music, the beat of the music can sound like it is louder over the singer, but Spears’ singing shines. The harmony between the vocals and the music allow the songs on this EP to thrive with Spears’ entry into the music scene.

The simplicity of the music along with the lyrical content of this album show Spears has her own musical style and as she makes her way into the music scene, it seems as she will have an impact on her fans through her music.
