Album review: 'Magickal Nights' by Andreas

A parallel audio universe

New age musician Louie Andreas has created yet another album that explores the magical, relaxing realm of audio sounds. The new album, Magickal Nights, will draw you into the sleeping universe with one whisper of a flute, one strike of a chime, and one pull of a string.

Andreas, who puts major emphasis on new age themes, makes his music extremely relaxing. It is like I could fall asleep on a cloud that could take me to a parallel universe brimming with fairies and other magical beings. Using soothing sounds of nature, Andreas makes this album truly a pleasure to listen to.

Andreas’s previous album, Nature Angels, released in 2010, and Magickal Nights, released this year, could both be easily called “healing” albums. You know those “off-the-beaten path,” often laughed at albums that most nature enthusiasts pop in their car when on their way to some sort of natural realization journey - Andreas makes those enjoyable.

The album has seven tracks, and unlike most relaxation albums, the tracks are at a relatively good length. No track drags on or is too short. However, after a while, it seems like each track begins to melt into the other one, but somehow each still retains a unique element in this album.
