Looking at Jeremiah Lockwood, it's hard to imagine that he's the voice behind the grittiness which pours out of the album, American Primitive. The songs on Lockwood's solo debut are full of the soul and passion of a man who his lived well beyond his years. Of course, young people have a lot on there minds these days, so the image, of someone older singing the blues may not quite fit anymore. Of course, Lockwood isn't just some new artist, his experience around the music industry is expressed in this album. The different musical styles-- from rock, to blues, to folk-- combine effortlessly to create a special sound. American Primitive is a strong showing for Lockwood's first solo effort.
