It already has begun, the freaks have come out tonight/ there's no difference between wrong and right/Welcome to the Black Magic show. And so the Elefant show comes stomping through, with a metaphor of hallucinations, the demon's deceiving song, dethroned kings, and senseless tears to set the tone. If the world is a stage, then this new-wave, 80s inspired effort is just another act. Elephant's "Black Magic Show" sounds good and will fuel raving 80s nostalgia, but it does not pave any new roads.

The show features danceable, heavily produced, guitar driven songs that, if not reinventing the road, dust it off and keep it spinning
