Blinders On

Sean Watkins was born in 1977 in Santa Monica, CA and is a member of the progressive bluegrass band Nickel Creek, which released his debut album in 1991. He is a member of very talented Grammy Nominated mandolin and guitar ensemble. Sean, along with his sister, Sara Watkins, and father and son duo Scott Thile and Chris Thile, Grammy Nominated Mandolin performers, formed Nickel Creek in San Diego in 1990.

Sean Watkins' music is definitely different. From the time the first track comes on till the end of the whole CD you will be mesmerized and amazed at the styling of the music and at the lyrics as well. His label is Sugarhill which is a Country music label, but Country music Blinders is not. His style is considered New Acoustic and Contemporary Bluegrass. Gabe Witcher plays the fiddle on some of the songs. His CD cover is beautiful and different like his music.
