'The Choice' by Nicholas Sparks

Nicholas Sparks has been a man is able to make women swarm in masses to read his novels or see films based on his them.

With successful movies like The Notebook, Dear John and Nights in Rodanthe, I am one of his fans who is ready to see another film adaption of one of his books.

At the moment, The Lucky One is in the process of production. I have read all of his novels and in my opinion, The Choice is the best one he has written. I would be the first one at the theaters to see this if it ever came to the big screen.

The Choice brings us to a small town where a man named Travis has come upon a new neighbor, Gabby. While trying to be friendly and getting to know her, he faces much hostility on her end.

After her dog becomes ill she must take him to the local vet, who happens to be Travis. Over time she begins to open up to Travis and creates a friendship. Gabby becomes afraid of her true feelings for him when we discover she is in a long distance relationship with another man.

The book leads into what choices we are faced with when confronted with true love. The story does not stop with Travis and Gabby deciding on how to carry on their relationship, if any relationship is there at all.

We are confronted with choices that make us wonder if we are selfish for wanting too much. When do we learn to let go? When do we know when to hold on?

Many of us have wondered whether or not our decisions can affect the rest of our lives. What if our decision compromised the life of someone else?

Sparks has the ability to make us cry while reading any heartfelt passage in his novel. This book brought tears to my eyes more than any book I have ever read.

As you read, the book will change courses several times. It will have you saying to yourself, “I can’t believe it.”

The Choice gives us a look into true love, marriage and family. Take a journey of tears and happiness and open yourself up to this amazing novel.
