With a voice that would make Heaven’s purest angels writhe with jealousy, City and Colour, also known as Dallas Green, created an absolutely sin-tastic song, called “Sleeping Sickness.” Released in 2008, this song has been my guilty little pleasure and I am embarrassed to say that I have kept this song to myself, instead of sharing it with family and friends like I usually do.
I have yet to listen to City and Colour’s newest album, entitled Little Hell, but it is definitely on my to do list. Dallas Green’s voice is an epic audio projection of a thousand tiny cherubs. Although the song is catchy, I cannot sing along to it. Why? Because I know there’s no way I could possibly compete with the majestic quality of this Canadian singer.
However, would you be able to recognize Dallas Green’s voice if you knew what band he formerly contributed to? Green was the singer, songwriter, and guitarist of Alexisonfire. Green left the band to focus more on his own venture, City and Colour.
