Every now and then, I yearn for the good ole days back when recess was the most exciting time of the day, and Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network were the channels to watch. I get even more nostalgic as I recall classic Disney movies like Mary Poppins and The Little Mermaid. Yet, it's the timeless songs from these magical films that make me smile, and sometimes cry, the most.
Classic Disney: Volume One includes unforgettable musical memories such as "A Whole New World" from Aladdin, The Lion King's "Circle of Life," and even older ones like "Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah" from Song of the South. It is quite the delight to listen to such cheerful songs of dreams, romance, and hope.
The disc also lists the singers for each song. I do not know about you, but every time I watched a Disney animated film, I became curious as to who made our beloved Peter Pan, Bambi, and Snow White come to life.
Break away from your day for a few moments, and take a stroll down Memory Lane with Classic Disney: Volume One. You'll smile as you remember Mowgli from The Jungle Book riding an elephant for the first time, and Beauty and the Beast dancing their first dance. You may even cringe as you listen to Ursula persuading Ariel to trade in her voice for human legs. Well, not all Disney music can be innocent!
