Danny and the Dinosaur

Danny and the Dinosaur, by Syd Hoff, is a fun story about an adventure a little boy has when coming across a dinosaur. Original and imaginative, Danny and the Dinosaur is surely a classic to have on all bookshelves.

Young Danny has always wanted a dinosaur to play with. And when Danny goes to the local museum one day, his wish comes true as a friendly dinosaur suddenly comes to life. The dinosaur befriends him and spends the day playing with him. The pair travels through town eating ice cream, going to the zoo, going to a ballpark, and many other fun adventures. After one hundred million years, the dinosaur is having a fantastic time being out of the museum and playing outside, while Danny is enjoying the company of his new dinosaur friend.

The dinosaur even helps out around town. He sets a good example by waiting at the traffic light, helps a woman with her groceries, and is a method of transportation for a short while, taking people around town.

Fun, colorful, and highly imaginative, Danny and the Dinosaur is a great book to read. As part of the 'I Can Read' series, Danny and the Dinosaur is also an excellent book for children who are beginner readers. With simple sentences and a flowing plot, Danny and the Dinosaur is a terrific read.
