E Family - 'Now & Forever'

The E Family showcases the many talents of the famed "E"scovedo musical family on the new studio recording, Now & Forever.

The members, consisting of Pete Escovedo, Shiela E., Juan Escovedo, and Peter Michael Escovedo, have gotten together and meshed their given Latin Jazz backgrounds with individual contemporary influences - from Pop, R&B, Hip-Hop, Carnival, and Inspirational - for an updated sound. All family members individually participate, on lead vocal duties, except for those featuring a number of guest musicians on certain tracks: Gloria Estefan on "Take It Back," Joss Stone, Raphael Saadiq and George Duke on "The Other Half of Me," Earth, Wind & Fire on "Peace and Joy," Israel Houghton on "All Around." The mood, starting with track "Take It Back," is engaging, rhythmic, and has an all around "feeling good" vibe. A breather is given midway with "Nina," sung by the elder Pete Escovedo, in classic refined style. The first single in support of the release is "I Like It." The party appropriately culminates with the "Live Percussion Jam."

E Family member Sheila Escovedo is known in the Pop world as famed percussionist “Shiela E." and her '80s Pop hit song, “The Glamorous Life.”

Now & Fovever, which marks the debut of The E Family as a collective, is a musical gem that is surely long overdue.
