Everyone Worth Knowing

Alexandra Perich
Your friends, your life, your reputation, your job . . . where does one end and the other begin when you're in the spotlight?

Bette, 27, doesn't quite know what to do with herself after she quits her Manhattan banking job. By lucky coincidences, she somehow lands a job at one of the hottest PR firms in town. Her life is suddenly filled with parties and glamorous events, not to mention a few new men.

Philip Weston is one of the most popular and handsome bachelors in Manhattan, and Bette finds herself sort of dating him. Then she meets Sammy, Mr. Personality, who seems to be a great guy, but he is only a bouncer and doesn't seem to fit into Bette's glam new life. Or does he?

With all of this going on, Bette starts to drift away from her best friend, Penelope, who is engaged to a complete jerk.

When Bette becomes the center of a popular gossip column, her life is suddenly thrust into the spotlight. When the gossip column turns nasty and vicious, Bette must decide what is more important: her job and career, or her personal life. But in the line of business she's in, the question is, where does one end and the other begin?

Well written novel, kept me wanting to turn the page and read more. Great characters, great plot, and great glitz.
