Eyes of Prey is book three in this series about Lucas Davenport, a cop who solves crimes and likes to put the bad guys away.
In this particular book there seems to be a serial killer on the loose. He kills people and cuts out their eyes. All very gruesome stuff. At one crime scene there appears to be two sets of footprints, making Lucas and the other cops think that there is more than one killer. But the trick is finding out who they are.
The killer is obsessed with eyes. The eyes, they just had to go. If not, they would haunt you long after the victims were dead and buried. Cutting them out, that's the ticket. The killer is also on drugs and totally nuts.
Lucas has his hands full in this novel, trying to prove that the husband had a role in his wife's death, and the death of a few others, and that he had an accomplice.
