Before Jim Croce hit it big, he made 500 copies of this album basically as what seems to be a preview, maybe a test run. The end result is an album which is a fan's dream. It shows the upcoming talent, and is certainly a preview of the genius to come. The quality is good, but certainly not of the level of the studio recordings he made later. That said, it's extremely interesting to watch and see the development of Jim Croce from age 22, when he recorded this, up to the present.
