With an opening able to turn your blood cold and send chills down your spine, The Fear Street Saga is unforgettable. You normally think of R.L. Stine books for just young teens, but this collection is great for any age looking for a great scare.

Nora Goode starts at the end and brings all 300 years together when the true story begins with the burning of Susannah Goode and her mother at the hands of Matthew and Benjamin Fear. Matthew and Benjamin the towns wealthiest brothers being the magistrate of the town betrayed many. Matthew Fear shows up to make a proposition to Susannah's father offering to spare Susannah and her mother for money, but come the next evening the fears have fled town and let Susannah and her mother burn at the stake as witches.

Beginning the 300-year course that will torment and hunt the Goodes and fears until no one survives. The killing of Benjamin fear by staking him like a scarecrow is chilling as is the death of two young girls who where buried alive. So many lives lost because of dark magic and courses. Even name changes and miles apart the horror doesn't stop. A shocking pairing will bring an end to everything, but to get to be together they must take care of a few people, and its scary how they think alike.

R.L. Stine has a way of making characters come to life, and people who read this as young teenagers reread it when they are in there are adults. The story gives chills; makes you believe and can bring the horror to a whole new level. If you like scary gruesome, and plain out twisted this is the book for you.
