Gaiam’s summer 2011 collection

“Sustainable” and “fashionable” are two words that describe Gaiam’s summer 2011 styles. The words haven’t been combined before but this line has both of those elements, so we no longer have to choose between being eco-friendly and being stylish.

The collection integrates the latest trends and colors of the season, such as jumpsuits, cami dresses, and bright summer cardigans, in a collection that is cool, comfortable, and stylish.

One item from the collection is the Sustainable/Organic Harem Jumpsuit, which retails for $84 at Gaiam.com. The jumpsuit is made of 67 percent Rayon made from sustainable bamboo, 30 percent organic cotton, and three percent spandex. The jumpsuit features a draped cowl neck and an adjustable drawstring waistband.

There’s also the 100 percent Organic Cotton Cami Dress, which is priced at $64.00. This dress features a fresh summer dye pattern and an empire waist, not to mention it’s available in two colors: espresso and tangerine.

Another stylish piece from the collection is the Open Cardigan, $59. This cardigan is perfect for summer nights or layering at work. This lightweight, open-knit layer cardigan is available in a variety of basic and bright colors, including Mediterranean, white black, calypso, silver, cloud, honeysuckle, flax, or regatta. It is made of 53 percent organic cotton and 47 percent rayon from sustainable bamboo.

All in all, you don’t have to compromise being trendy or eco-friendly with Gaiam’s summer 2011 collection. Visit Gaiam.com to find the perfect summer look.
