Finally a Glee episode worth watching.
Tuesday night's Glee was filled with emotional highs and lows and upbeat songs.
Kurt's dad, Burt proposed to Finn’s mom, Carole, Sue Sylvester realized the only person she can marry is herself and Sam proposed a promise ring to Quinn (who said maybe) all at the start of the episode.
Carol Burnett, who played Sue’s “Nazi hunter” mother, had a very insignificant role. The two managed to have chemistry while singing an odd song entitled “Ohio,” but other than that there was no need for Carol Burnett’s character.
Karofsky continued to bully Kurt about his sexuality. Kurt’s friends, all but Finn, came to his rescue and put Karofsky in his place, especially Sam who tackled the football player in the boys locker room. The only scene worthy of Sue’s appearance was when she expelled Karofsky for harassing Kurt.
However, Karofsky brought this to the school board's attention and he will be returning back to school. Unlike the last few episodes, Glee left a cliffhanger. Kurt decided to transfer to Dalton High which means two things; he’s leaving all his friends behind and they will be competing against each other at sectionals.
Of course the highlight of Tuesday night's show was the wedding. The wedding for Burt and Carole was one of a kind, to say the least. Instead of the traditional walk down the aisle, the glee club sang and danced to the altar. Besides the customary prayers, the bride and groom decided to take it upon themselves to express their feeling through a speech. The reception was just as unique. Finn gave a heartfelt speech to the newlyweds and to Kurt. He also gave a surprise performance with the other glee members by singing “Just the Way You Are.”
The most bizarre scene had to be Sue marrying herself. Her mother and sister were the only two members who attended along with a pianist. As expected, Sue did not wear a traditional wedding gown but a royal blue Adidas dress with two white stripes down each sleeve.
Sam and Quinn announced they are officially a couple. All the glee club members now have a significant other, except Mercedes. There should be an episode in the near future that’s all about Mercedes. She has been downplayed a lot this season and she deserves a chance to shine.
