Going The Distance

The movie centers around an aspiring reporter, Erin (Drew Barrymore), who meets Garrett (Justin Long), music artist and representative for a small music label. They "hook-up" in a bar
while playing a video game.

Garrett interferes with Erin's chance at a high score. His way of making up for it is buying her a drink. They end-up spending
the night together, and then they start a real friendship.

Erin can only stay in New York for six weeks before going back to finish graduate school at Stanford.

The movie involves attempts of the two to stay in contact after
Erin leaves New York.

The romantic comedy points-out miscommunication, temptations,
between Erin and Garrett, and that leads to misunderstandings. You can see the disagreements coming, predictable. The movie is very funny, which evens out that flaw.

Going the Distance has really funny scenes with Garrett and his friends, Dan (Charlie Day) and Box (Jason Sudeikis).

Christina Applegate gives a strong performance as Erin's over-protective sister.

Justin Long’s character is serious, and he gives a good performance. He has been typecast in teen roles. His performance was a nice surprise.

The movie features sex and nudity. It's adult oriented.
