I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell

by Tucker Max

I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell is the absolutely ridiculous true story of an outrageous bachelor. Tucker Max is the exact opposite of what every girl should want in life, but the kind of guy that girls just can’t resist no matter how many times they tell themselves that he is bad news. There really is something about the bad boy that girls love, and no one proves this point more than Tucker Max in his hilarious account of real life adventures.

Booze, biddies, and bad decisions are the base of Max’s text. If you are easily squeamish during graphic sex scenes in movies, this is NOT the book for you. However, if you think that the human condition in and of itself is hilarious, you are not put off by sexually explicit re-telling of weekend conquests, and you enjoy watching the way that males behave under the influence of alcohol with any girl that crosses their path, then please, please, please go out and get this book.

It is simultaneously the funniest and most offensive book I have ever picked up. Hilarity and moral corruption seem to go together naturally in Tucker Max’s detailed account of his promiscuous sex life. Reading it makes you wonder if every man secretly thinks about women the way that Tucker Max does. I promise that after you read this you will look at men in a different light. There is no question that this book is obscene and far too graphic, but you have to appreciate the guy’s frankness. Seriously, he sprints right across the line, and it's about time that someone has the nerve to write about what goes on over there. His writing style is fluid, easy to digest, while his stories will make you laugh, cringe, want to go to a party, and consider becoming a nun at the same time. I have never felt such a range of emotions while reading a book. I think the best way to describe this book is by comparing it to a train wreck: you don’t want to watch, but you just cant look away.
