Innocent of Nothing

Lynda Dale MacLean

Singer and songwriter Marilyn Scott's latest "Innocent of Nothing" invites the sounds of jazz, blues and soul; nuzzled quite nicely with a bit of contemporary pop.

"Round & Round," "Round Midnight," "Spring Can Really Hang You Up The Most," "Moods," "It's Alright, Ma (I'm Only Bleeding)" and "The Wilderness" are pretty as a sunset overlooking the twinkles of lights from the city and as warm as the feeling your body feels after a long bubble bath. It's just good music, all around.

Marilyn Scott's "Innocent of Nothing" is a sharply tuned album of magical melodies, soaring lyrics, and it was lovely listening to her sweet jazz and bluesy vocals once again.
