It's About Time

The Jonas Brothers' debut album "It's about Time" is a well crafter pop album following in the footsteps of Hanson and Avril Lavigne. The Jonas Brother's will always be compared to Hanson due to their similar ages at the release of their first album. They can also be compared to Avril Lavigne because they represent the pop music with punk attitude style Avril is known for. However, they actually have more punk influence in their music than Avril ever did. The break out single "Mandy" has recently received a lot of play on the radio and MTV and deservingly so; the song is very catchy with pop vocals over Green Day style guitar riffs. The opening track "What I Go to School For" gets the album off on the right foot. This song is catchy and filled with the fun attitude of the album, even if the lyrics of the song are a bit clich?. "I am What I am" is quite possibly the hardest track of the album, it still has a very soft bubble gum pop edge to it, but the song is still a fun punky poppy groove that's worth a listen. Overall the album is a fun little ride, that shouldn't be taken too seriously, but is still fun to hear.
