A duck is found at the front door.

To all fans of Jackie Urbanovic's Duck, Urbanovic brings you the debut of Duck with Duck at the Door. Urbanovic's Duck is a character hard to resist, just as his books are! Amusing and fun, all will fall in love with Duck!

In a cozy house full of animals, all are asleep until they hear knocking on the front door. The animals, not knowing what to do, go to Irene because she always knows what to do. Irene, obviously logical, answers the door. More than likely, none of them expected a duck at their steps. The duck had thought he would rather stay behind when his flock migrated south; however, quite cold now, Duck regretted his decision.

Irene and the animals take Duck in and he begins to make himself at home. It takes Duck all January to learn to use the remote. Then, he spends February experimenting with cooking. And by March, Duck had fully settled in.

However, the other animals have gotten sick of watching the same reruns Duck favored and all of Duck's peculiar concoctions. They decide to go to Irene for help, but the animals don't need to because Duck suddenly announces that his flock is back and leaves. It doesn't take long before the animals begin to miss Duck. Still, it should be remembered to be careful for what you wish for.

Duck at the Door is fun and amusing, and a children's book that readers will easily love.
