Julianne Hough
Julianne Hough's debut self-titled album comes chock full of sweet, fun, upbeat, and slow songs with simple and honest lyrics. In country music fashion, many lyrics tell stories of strong people, problems, and love that are very relatable and do not use figurative language, except for "Hide Your Matches." Many of the melodies are pretty as are the vocals, but there is not much that stands out as beautiful.
"My Hallelujah Song" is my favorite on the album because, although it is country, it has this pop feel to it and really honest lyrics that speak from her and not a narrator. Plus, it is great to sing along with anywhere, even the shower. "Help Me, Help You" is a beautiful song, which is reminiscent of Martina McBride's songs about those who are troubled. "You, You, You" is just cutesy and reminds me of Miss Mary Mac Mac Mac because it repeats the last word in every line thrice during the chorus.
The question on everyone's minds must be: Does she sing as good as she dances? Well, that would depend on how well they think she dances; personally, I think her singing is sweet, pretty, and almost as good as she dances and she is an amazing dancer.
