Lisa Vanderpump’s elegant style on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has been featured on her hit show, but now her fans can learn some of her home décor tricks. Vanderpump’s new book, Simply Divine: A Guide to Easy, Elegant, and Affordable Entertaining, is her own signature tale of how she designs her posh homes and restaurants around the world. The book details her approach to interior design that she has used to great success, planning theme parties and other events.

Vanderpump presents several different styles depending on the mood, event, season, and occasion. Her mix and match technique is relatively easy to follow, but some may find a trip to the department store necessary to implement the style suggestions she has written about. What was surprising is that one need not have the same budget that Vanderpump has to bring out the same elegance in their home. It’s more color and design that Vanderpump is about than expensive fabric or decorations.

The English sense of aesthetics is evident in Vanderpump’s approach to home styling but it's obvious how much her native England influences her taste. Depending on your own taste, this book may or may not work for you. There is a definite air of sophistication and classic themes in Vanderpump’s style, but most will find it appealing. It’s definitely a book to have when you want a change in your home environment without having to hire an interior designer to do the job.
