The Man from Nowhere is a Korean action film that will easily leave your jaw dropped.
Korean actor Won Bin stars as Cha Tae-sik, a mysterious pawnshop owner who has secluded himself from the rest of the world after losing his pregnant wife in a brutal car accident.
Although Tae-sik tries to avoid human contact, he can’t seem to push himself away from Jeong So-mi, the child of a drug addict who lives upstairs.
When a drug trafficking organization kidnaps So-mi, Tae-sik begins a violent and dangerous journey to get his best friend back.
The Man from Nowhere is a genuinely good film laced with killer action scenes and an addictive plot. While the subtitles sometimes take away from the experience, it’s still an enjoyable film that can easily impress anyone, even those who are not fans of action.
What’s even more impressive about this movie is that Won Bin refused to use a stunt double for his action scenes, despite the fact that this was his first action film.
The training that he went through and the dedication made by all of the actors is phenomenal and definitely makes the film that much more pleasurable.
So if you’re into intense knife fights and you don’t mind the sound of breaking bones and the sight of blood, then The Man from Nowhere is definitely a film that needs to be added to you must-watch list.
