Miranda Lambert has fans going on an Internet scavenger hunt to find songs off her new album, Four the Record. The latest, “Dear Diamond,” hit the internet yesterday on Billboard. “Dear Diamond,” is the fourth of five hidden tracks online currently from Lambert’s upcoming album, Four the Record.
“Dear Diamond,” presents an interesting side to this "Gunpowder and Lead" singer. The song opens with strong guitar rifts and then slowly brings in the acoustic guitar melody. Lambert’s vocals are haunting in this lover scorn track. Lambert has never been shy about expressing her feelings in her lyrics, often using personal fears.
Lambert sings, “Dear diamond, pretty and new / Perfectly flawless, too good to be true / Dear diamond, you shine like the sun / And wrap around my finger just like he does.”
“Dear Diamond,” could be seen as a woman marrying the wrong man, should husband Blake Shelton be worried? Recent interviews have made it clear that Blake is the one man for this country female superstar. The man that is record is about is unknown.
Four the Record will be released this Tuesday.
