A Moment In Time

Tony Doggett has written an album full of simple, sweet melodies and open lyrics with little touches here and there that add to the songs. The type of music varies with each song; some sound a little bluesy, some a little soft rock n roll, and some a little country. In some songs the guitars stand out and sound really good, especially with the solos. The drums also get the spotlight a few times for a few seconds that make A Moment in Time interesting.

However, some songs are better than others and some just are so simple it gets to be a little dull after awhile; though there aren't many songs like that on the album. "I Can't Live Without Your Loving" is very upbeat and catchy. "Let Me Down Slow" starts out with the harmony of a guitar and strings, especially the cello, that is really pretty; the lyrics are also relatable. The combination makes this song beautiful.

This is a great album to listen to when wanting to relax without falling asleep.
