Monk's Bones

Chuck Bernstein's driving ambition behind the inception of forming Monk's Music Trio back in August of 1999 was too be able to perform the legendary music of Thelonious Monk, and to have pianist Si Perkoff and bass player Sam Bevan join him. Chuck felt both musicians best identified with interpreting Thelonious Monk's music.

Monk's Music Trio released their third album "Monk's Bones" a flavorful, fun and exciting Jazz album that offers its listeners a very special additional musical treat. Trombonists Roswell Rudd and Max Perkoff who brought sweeping and magically sound to the album.

"Monk's Dream", "Ugly Beauty", "'Round Midnight", and "Friday the 13th" were the cream of my listening pleasure.

"Monk's Bones" an exceptional Jazz album that placed high on my library shelf.
