A film to make you think.

If you're someone who enjoys films that keep you completely in suspense till the end, "Mulholland Drive" is definitely the film for you. This film is an enigma from the beginning to end, but in a good way. Its dark, mysterious story will tug at your intellectual side and have you thinking throughout the film.

Directed by David Lynch, "Mulholland Drive" revolves around an actress named Betty Elms, who travels to Hollywood to make it big, and a woman named Rita, who was nearly killed. After being the victim of a terrible car crash, Rita survives, but suffers amnesia from the accident. In a hazy state, Rita wanders in and out of random areas and eventually finds herself in Betty's apartment. Initially, Betty is fascinated by Rita's story and is ready to put her goal of stardom on hold to help Rita uncover this mystery. The two head out on an adventure around Los Angeles for some hints and answers.

This film stars Naomi Watts as Betty Elms and Diane Selwyn, Laura Harring as Rita, Ann Miller as Catherine "Coco" Lenoix, Dan Hedaya as Vincenzo Castigliane, Justin Theroux as Adam Kesher, and Brent Briscoe as a detective named Neal Domgaard. Also featured in this film are Robert Forster, Katharine Towne, Lee Grant, Scott Coffey, and Billy Ray Cyrus.

The beauty of this film comes from its abstract, mysterious story. From the beginning, it will have you hooked. You will be engaged and at the edge of the seat from the opening scene, and that is not an exaggeration.

While the ending is not as exciting as you might be led to believe, the ride is definitely worth it.

With outstanding performances and brilliant direction, Lynch has created an extraordinary, spine-chilling film.
