In the Natural State

He's gotta get "Out of Mississippi"- and quick, Jimmy Thackery sings over the first boogie-woogie & rock collision on "In the Natural State." His gritty voice warbles and stretches over the measures with a charm known to admirers of this blues singer and guitarist. Flying solo since 1987, he once performed with the Nighthawks, arguably among the most "hard-working" blues bar bands in the country. Here's Jimmy once again, this time, enlisting the help of the Cate brothers who bring to the table a rich rhythm and blues persuasion. Though, Thackery's sharp, loquacious guitar-propelled blues remains constant.

"A musical masterpiece!" raves Mike Huckabee, Governor of Arkansas.

Love traditional blues, love roots rock, then look no further, "In the Natural State" will hit the spot, transporting you to a dim-lit, comfortably smoke- filled and dusty dive where blues music runs as free as the generous tap behind the front counter. Now that's powerful.
