Orphan

This film is what every horror movie wishes it could be--an edge-of-your-seat adventure that leaves the audience guessing and concludes with a plot twist that is actually smart.

"Orphan" (directed by Juame Collet-Serra) tells the story of John and Kate, a married couple who have recently lost their unborn child and are greatly suffering from the tragedy. To attempt to cope, the couple decides to adopt and bring a third child into their family on whom they can bestow the love they would have given to their unborn child. They find Esther, a young Russian girl, at an orphanage and instantly fall in love with her sweetness and charm. However, when Esther is brought home, strange, violent events start occurring, and it appears as if the young orphan always has a hand in them.
