"Parks and Recreation"

"This Is How You Eat It," at a Knope Party

The second episode of season two of "Parks and Recreation" on NBC had Leslie Knope (Poehler) clear out her cluttered home in order to make room for an extravagant dinner party in order to impress her new romance Justin, played by guest star, Justin Theroux. Due to the disorganized state of Leslie's house, she calls in some of the local recreation center teachers, who had recently been told that some of their classes would have to be cut due to a lower city budget. Although Leslie informs the teachers that this would in no way influence her decision as to which classes would be cut, the teachers agree to work anyway. Once Pawnee's disciplinary committee discovers this, a hearing is held, and after Leslie agrees to pay for the teachers' work out of her own pocket, no further action is taken.

A spin off of the popular television series with the same pseudo-reality show take, "The Office", "Parks and Recreation" is lacking in some of the zingy one-liners and resemblance to real scenarios in the lives of Park and Recreation staffers. Episode highlights include a laugh out loud moment between Anzari and Offerman who play Mark and Ron, as Mark tries to one-up Ron by eating an intense jalapeño pepper in order to impress his soon-to-be ex-wife.
