To hire Patti Stanger as your matchmaker costs several thousands of dollars but if you watch her show The Millionaire Matchmaker you can glean some of her wisdom in finding a match. In this book, Stanger details as a condensed method for being your own best Yenta if you’re single and don’t want to be.
Stanger outlines a dating plan that is fairly easy to follow but her own wisdom is included. She writes for a female audience and tells it like it is. A lot of single women, in Stanger’s opinion, are their own worst enemies in the love department. Her advice is practical and is tough love coaching from a woman whose job it is to get people out of their own way and into a relationship of their dreams. Stanger has an aggressive style mixed in with biting humor as she navigates how the matching process works. She has been a matchmaker for a very long time and sees the reality of how difficult it is to find someone. Her tactics are based on decades of experience from her life and her mother and grandmother.
The only thing about this book is that Stanger herself is still single and broke her engagement in 2010 after a six year relationship. Hopefully fans of Stanger will see her matched soon.
