Piranha 3D
"Piranha 3D" is a re-make of Joe Dante's 1978 nature thriller. It's a horror movie with grotesque deaths and nudity.
The 3D refers to a getting in-your-face view of the movie. The nudity, blood and gore is pushed in your face.
The focus is on a small town whose population triples every year through the 4th of July weekend due to college kids.
The town is situated on a crater that will bring thousands of deadly piranhas to the town. They will feast on anyone in the water.
The actors are: Steven R. McQueen, Elisabeth Shue, Jerry O’Connell, Jessica Szohr, Kelly Brook, Ving Rhames, Adam Scott, Ricardo Chavira, Christoper Lloyd and Richard Dreyfuss.
Steven R. McQueen was funny as the protagonist. Ving Rhames and Elisabeth Shue's performances were lacking. Jerry O’Connell gave a strong performance.
The special effects could have looked more realistic, piranhas didn't look good or real.
"Piranha 3D" isn't family friendly. If you like loads of nudity, satires and horror- you'll like the movie.
