Rock band Priory connects their Northwestern roots with contemporary sonics, on self-titled debut, Priory.
The Folk-based quartet, made up of members Brandon Johnson, Kyle Dieker, Greg Harpel, and Joe Mingus, offers an organic music release where the band balances a respect for musical tradition with a touch of modernity. The bands lyricism, as in songs "Lady of Late" and "Kings of Troy," takes on an air of antiquated romanticism in form of language, that when delivered, reflects genuine and easily universal sentiments. The band's melodic tunes and emotive harmonies, all follow an even and calm pace, for an easy listen.
Priory's new music release explores the new, eschewing predictability, and gives traditional music a facelift.
