When medical examiner Dr. Jake Rosen and civil lawyer Philonmena 'Manny' Manfreda butt heads in the middle of a court room. The experience is so electric you can see it played out in front of you.
When four bodies are found a field constructed to be turned into a mall in uptown New York, the towns Medical Examiner Dr. Pete Harrigan calls on his friend and prot?g?e Dr. Jake Rosen in New York to help him unravel the events. The discovery of a metal plate in a mans head identifies Korean War vet James Albert Lyons, who disappeared from a mental institution in 1963. They want to know why was his family told he left and never went home? Why was a young women's body thrown in the mix? Why were two other male bodies buried so close together with broken bones and broken necks? Unexpectedly Dr. Pete Harrigan dies, and leave the research up to Dr. Jake Rosen, who sends James Albert Lyons daughter to Philonmena 'Manny' Manfreda to help build a civil suit and hopefully find out how her father ended up in a field with three other bodies. The sheriff and everyone else in this seeming normal town are hiding a very big secret, one that can shatter lives and hurt innocent people.
While Manny and Dr. Jake Rosen work together to help discover what happen to the bodies they find a love of their own starting to blossom, but is it enough to keep them alive while they try to untangle a forbidden love, mistreatment of patients in a mental hospital, and a government cover up?
