When we meet Lexi Smart she is 25, works at a carpet retailer, has trouble with guys like Dave, and goes to dingy clubs with her friends and gets drunk because she has nothing else to do. After a car accident, Lexi wakes up to find herself 28 years old and fabulous. She is the director of the sales department at her previously dead-end job, is gorgeous, carries around a Louis Vuitton purse with matching wallet, and she's thin!
Imagine waking up to a new and improved you but having no idea how you got there. To add, she has a charming husband named Eric she doesn't remember marrying, and secrets and schemes that show up amid her seemingly perfect life.
Lexi's journey is a roller-coaster ride! It's like putting together pieces of the puzzle to find the whole. Lexi's problems with her memory are interesting and detailed and help the reader stay in touch with Lexi's emotional confusion. All of the supporting characters fill in the missing pieces of Lexi very nicely and are fun to read about.
I loved Kinsella's 'Shopaholic' series and was delighted that this book was just as great of a read!
