Rosetta

Stephan Crump's latest album, "Rosetta," is a wonderful mix of instrumental sound. Crump has preformed with many musicians across the world. Some of the artists he's performed with include Bruce Springsteen, Johnny Clyde Copeland and Kenny Werner. It's not shocking that he has worked with so many great musicians, given his extreme talent and striking musical sound.This Memphis-born bassist is currently touring with Vijay lyer, Jen Chapin and Liberty Ellman. His music was created by a mix of his parents' French and Southern American roots. The melding of these two styles creates a very unique and magnificent sound.

The sound is highly unconventional, but very enjoyable. I would recommend this to all experimental music lovers. It isn't often that I hear bass solo's I find enjoyable, but Crump's fabulous sound is at the top of my list. No music collection is complete without this album. Its new and surprising sound will enamor all listeners.
