Though a hilarious book to be enjoyed by readers of all ages, any with obsessive compulsive tendencies will especially love Scaredy Squirrel, by Melanie Watts. Scaredy Squirrel is a hero to those who always stay in their comfort zone and like it like that. After all, who would want to leave the familiar when the unknown is so scary? Certainly not Scaredy Squirrel!
Scaredy Squirrel is, as the name implies, a squirrel scared of everything unfamiliar and unknown. He never ventures outside his nut tree because it is a scary world out there. Scaredy Squirrel is afraid of all the tarantulas, poison ivy, germs, sharks, killer bees, and green Martians that lurk outside his nut tree in the world of the unknown. Besides, his nut tree has a great view, plenty of nuts, and is safe; why leave? However, say something unpredictable occurred, Scaredy Squirrel would surely be prepared for it with his emergency kit.
But when something unpredictably unpredictable happens, what is Scaredy Squirrel to do? Perhaps Scaredy Squirrel could learn a lot from the unknown.
Scaredy Squirrel is fun, amusing, and colorful. Any who read Scaredy Squirrel will surely want to keep reading about all his funny obsessive compulsive and paranoid antics.
