"Seems Like Home to Me" by Two Gallants Review

The Two Gallants’ song, "Seems Like Home to Me," is three minutes and 47 seconds of pure, wretched, glorious, happiness. Honestly, the sound made my ears want to crumple up on themselves. But, in all fairness, I had to listen to it again to provide a fair perspective, but there was something about the song I could not get enough of.

As rough and stripped down as the music is, it lends a certain pure talent to music that we rarely find amid the Eminem and Nicki Minaj obsessed radio stations. I think that's why the song appeals to me.

The Two Gallants are so confident in how they sound- which honestly isn't that great- that it is an attractive sound. I suppose it's similar to meeting the ugliest man in the world and being charmed by a certain charismatic trait of his.

The band reminds me of a group that would play in a local bar back at home, and who would sit and converse with its fans. The mainstream popular music today lacks the certain “homey” feel that I find appealing in the Two Gallants.

They’re raw and they believe that being loud is better than being good. And that’s what I love about them.
