Allegra Telford has one last shot to prove to her boss that she can do her job. Like Moravian Dark One (vampire) Christian Dante, who's on a mission himself: to find his Beloved. And he's been searching for over six hundred years. When their missions collide, the result is a fast-paced mystery that defies a strict genre definition. The quick witted dialogue ("Allie! A Lady never refers to a gentleman's rectal area, no matter how provoked she might be!), a fabulous supporting cast of characters (including five ghosts, two feisty women, & a demon), and a portal to hell in the basement all add to the excitement. Throw in some steamy scenes, a supernatural flair, and excellent writing and Sex and the Single Vampire, the second in MacAlister's Vampire series, comes out a winner - both amusing and entertaining.
