Shepherds Abiding in Dry Creek
I don't believe a good Christmas story should just be saved for Christmas. I got several I did not get read so I'm still reading them.
Marla Gossett's husband dies and she is worried about her young son getting involved in gangs. Her husband had a piece of property in Dry Creek, Montana. So she moves, but because she is Hispanic, she feels she won't be accepted into the community. Things get off to a wrong start when the shepherd goes missing from the Church Nativity.
Thus unwinds a tale of suspicion, love, forgiveness, and acceptance all through the story.
One can read this and find how communities can give a person a second chance. They may also see how jumping to wrong conclusions can hinder you from believing the truth about a person.
This book is one of those books you start and keep reading until it is finished. Don't think you can take weeks. It grabs you and draws you in.
Adventure, excitement, and forgiveness are all woven into this story. One can see hope. Struggles bring the community together and they open their arms to this misplaced family.
