Shopaholic Ties the Knot

The third installment to the Shopaholic series.

Becky Bloomwood is back in Shopaholic Ties the Knot, the third installment to the 'Shopaholic' series. Living in New York and working at the perfect job, personal shopper for Barney's, Becky lives the good life. She buys expensive furniture, jewelry and clothing; hides the bills from her doting and forgiving boyfriend, Luke; and writes letters to banks and creditors trying to explain away her expenditures, while cleverly delaying payment at the same time; typical Becky. Her gorgeous, affluent boyfriend proposes marriage in the most romantic and unexpected way, and everything seems perfect!

Even though she is engaged, Becky tells herself that she won't get carried away in the planning and doesn't need the biggest, most extravagant wedding in the universe. Yeah right! Becky is already planning to try on diamond-encrusted tiaras for the ceremony. Weddings are, after all, a bride's license to go all out, spare no expense and spend, spend, spend.

A dilemma arises quickly. Becky's mom, who has been waiting for this day since Becky was born, begins to plan an outdoor ceremony in their backyard in England, while the overbearing mother-in-law offers to splurge for a posh stateside wedding in New York City's Plaza Hotel, not to mention that Luke is a complete mama's boy. Becky has to attend two weddings, on the same day, in two different countries! What will Beck do?

Another great novel by Sophie Kinsella. I love the 'Shopaholic' series and recommend them for a fun read. Wait till you read the ending to this one!
