Silverado

Here is a look back at some music that is almost 20 years old. The score to Silverado (1985) is one the greatest western scores ever written probably one of the greatest film scores of the 1980s. It's a classic and very modern western with one of the most memorable themes. Aaron Copland is an obvious influence for Broughton but the score still sounds intelligent and fresh after all these years. Broughton is a composer we do not hear enough from on the big screen. Hopefully we will see other westerns from this incredible talent.
