When will our favorite Siamese kitty realize that he's not really a Chihuahua? Certainly not in this Judy Schachner's Skippyjon Jones tale. With Skippyjon Jones in the Doghouse, Skippyjon is still fully believing that he is a Chihuahua dog-much to his mother's chagrin.
Always a bit of a troublemaker, Skippyjon Jones wasn't doing it intentionally this time. Rather, Skippyjon Jones was working, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. precisely, on a masterpiece artwork. In fact, it was his best piece of art ever. However, when Skippyjon Jones's mother came to find that he had covered her newly painted hall with illustrations of Chihuahua dogs, she was far from pleased. As a result of his mother's mortification, Skippyjon Jones is sent to a timeout so that he could spend the time thinking 'Siamese.'
However, while in timeout, Skippyjon Jones is quick to give in to his alter ego, the masked hero of Skippito Friskito. Despite being told not to go inside his closet, Skippyjon Jones/Skippito Friskito sneaks into the closet and into his Chihuahua world. There, Skippito Friskito is given the task to rescue his fellow Chihuahuas from the scary monster Bobble-ito.
With funny illustrations to go with the entertaining tale, Skippyjon Jones in the Doghouse is another fun Skippyjon Jones book. Skippyjon Jones fans cannot afford to miss out on this book.
