It's a shame, mainly because of what this band potentially could have been. Trying to style themselves as a modern rock band in the vein of AC/DC and Alice Cooper, Sound and Fury just doesn't sustain the sound. The singers have great voices and if they focused and were more careful, they could sound much more like the aforementioned world famous rockers. Sound and Fury starts off the song "Hellhound" with a great deal of momentum, sounding like Alice Cooper wannabes, which would be wonderful, but unfortunately they change gears very soon after, and become more interested in screaming than producing great rock music. The song, "Hellhound," also sounds very AC/DC-Airbourne, and is the best song on the album. Again, though, Sound and Fury moves from focusing on making a good, sustainable song, to screaming over what is otherwise a catchy tune. Sound and Fury definitely has the potential to be the next rock superstars - it all depends on where they place their musical priorities.
