Spring and Summer
Jon Foreman will be best known for his work with Switchfoot, but he is building a solo career and this album, Spring and Summer, is part of that.
There are a total of 12 tracks that are laid back with straightforward poetic lyrics and pretty melodies. Many of these songs deal with God and religion; however, this is not labeled as Christian music on his myspace ? heads up to those who oppose religious music.
These songs have a folksy, indie feel to them and are very relaxing. Some choruses are catchy, but I do not see these tracks being #1 hits and played often on the radio, except for stations that specify in Christian music or folk music. The themes run around the glory of God, etc. It's an okay album, nothing special or spectacular.
