The song, “Still in Love with You,” became a hit in 1974 when the Irish rock band, Thin Lizzy, brought it to life. Now, the English rock band, Sade, is taking a stab at the song for their 2011 compilation album, The Ultimate Collection.
While Thin Lizzy’s version of the song is undoubtedly a classic, Sade’s version is just as good. The band has twisted “Still in Love with You” into their own unique masterpiece by giving it an R&B type vibe.
The instrumental accompaniment is definitely a highlight throughout the song. The blending of guitar, bass and other percussive instruments creates such a soothing and mellow atmosphere for the listener.
Something also worth mentioning is Sade Adu and her outstanding vocals. Her voice is pleasing to listen to in the first place, but in this song, it's filled with so much emotion, making it easier to relate to the beautiful lyrics.
